1.Communist China’s New Rules tell companies to ignore U.S. restrictions and allow them to sue other companies if they comply with U.S. restrictions
Communist China’s Ministry of Commerce released a set of rules on January 9 that went into effect immediately. These rules were intended to counter foreign laws that “unjustly prohibit or restrict” people or companies in Communist China from conducting normal business. Although the rules did not mention any specific country, they are likely to put global companies in the middle of the economic wars between Washington and Beijing. The new rules would allow government officials to issue orders that companies do not have to comply with certain foreign restrictions. Chinese companies that incur losses because of another party’s compliance with those foreign laws can sue for damages in Chinese courts.

2.Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and Morgan Stanley to delist some Hong Kong products after U.S. investment ban
Following a U.S. ban on investments in companies linked to China’s military, U.S. banks Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and Morgan Stanley will delist 500 Hong Kong-listed structured products. The three investment banks said in filings to the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong on Sunday evening that these products are linked to telecom companies China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom and local indexes including the benchmark Hang Seng Index.

3.Several Ministries stated their priority in 2021, including housing, car and money
Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Central Bank, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD), the Ministry of Finance and other Ministries held their year-end meetings and identified their priorities for 2021. The first priority is about rental housing, according to the NDRC, Central Bank, and MOHURD. The second one is social security. The third one is price stabilization for agriculture products. The fourth is to expand consumption and promote bulk consumption to secure the domestic cycle.

4.Prices of home appliances on the rise in Communist China
The price increase of home appliances is due to higher price of raw materials. Since last August, the prices of raw materials for home appliances began to rise. For example, the prices of components such as LCD panels and air-conditioning compressors as well as the prices of raw materials such as iron, copper, and steel have increased. In 2020, the price of home appliance raw materials increased by 40%. Recently, transportation costs have also gone up due to severe weather conditions in the north. Experts predict that the price of home appliances will continue to increase for a long time in 2021. The price of home appliances will increase by more than 10% from last year, and the price increase of some products may reach 20%.

5.Central Bank lifts interest rates limits on overdraft credit card
Recently, the Central Bank has removed the upper and lower interest rates limits on credit card overdraft. The credit card overdraft interest rates can be determined by the issuers and the cardholder through negotiation. Before this, the upper limit was 0.05 percent per day (equivalent to 18.25 percent per year), and the lower limit was 0.7 times the upper limit.

6.Global food prices reached their highest level in six years in December and may continue to rise in 2021
Due to factors such as adverse weather, government safeguarding of supplies, and robust demand, prices of agricultural commodities from grans to pal oil will likely continue to rise, according to the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization. Such spikes may lead to further inflation, making it more difficult for central banks to offer more stimulus to bolster economies. As drought threatens agriculture in South American while Chinese demand surges, corn and soy futures rallied to six-year highs and palm oil is reaching a 10-year high. Although the FAO’s food price index has risen for the past seven months and annual prices are capping the highest average in three years, costs remain well below peaks in 2008 and 2011.

Commentary: It’s past time to start asking which media outlets are on the take from the Chinese government
Read Full Article Here
On Sunday, Reuters credulously reported claims from the Chinese government that mainland China had only 23 new cases of the novel coronavirus that day and that the Chinese mainland had only 23 new cases the previous day as well. In the same article, Reuters published the laughable claim that “mainland China has now reported an accumulated total of 86,852 coronavirus cases, with 4,634 deaths.”I don’t know what the actual number of new COVID-19 cases was over the past two days in China, but anyone who is not a complete idiot knows that 23 is a laughably low number. So is the number of 86,852 total reported cases. It just is not plausible that the country at the epicenter of the global pandemic, with many high-density population areas where the virus thrives, has had less than one-third the number of the coronavirus cases than the relatively sparsely populated state of Iowa. Even if the Chinese government …

CISA Issues Emergency Directive to Mitigate the Compromise of Solarwinds Orion Network Management Products
WASHINGTON – The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) tonight issued Emergency Directive 21-01, in response to a known compromise involving SolarWinds Orion products that are currently being exploited by malicious actors. This Emergency Directive calls on all federal civilian agencies to review their networks for indicators of compromise and disconnect or power down SolarWinds Orion products immediately.
“The compromise of SolarWinds’ Orion Network Management Products poses unacceptable risks to the security of federal networks,” said CISA Acting Director Brandon Wales. “Tonight’s directive is intended to mitigate potential compromises within federal civilian networks, and we urge all our partners—in the public and private sectors—to assess their exposure to this compromise and to secure their networks against any exploitation.”
This is the fifth Emergency Directive issued by CISA under the authorities granted by Congress in the Cybersecurity Act of 2015. All agencies operating SolarWinds products should provide a completion report to CISA by 12pm Eastern Standard Time on Monday December 14, 2020.

Super Soldiers and Super Bugs – The CCP is Weaponizing Science

The director of national intelligence John Ratcliffe wrote in the Wall Street Journal on Dec 4, 2020 that China was already testing super solider technology. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) seeks to modify human embryos with CRISPR gene editing tools to breed military personnel capable of fighting harder, longer, and more efficiently.
What is CRISPR? This is a technique that can cut a living organism’s genome at a desired location, allowing existing genes to be removed and/or new ones added. The development of the technique earned its inventors Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2020.
Communist China is a leader in CRISPR applications. Chinese researcher He Jiankui (???) created the first human genetically-edited babies in Shenzhen, China in November 2018 with CRISPR technique, which he learned at Stanford University. If a Chinese civilian can create genetically-edited babies, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is certainly capable of making genetically-enhanced super soldiers.
Will the CCP be bound by ethics? Definitely not. The CCP has already given an example of weaponizing Chinese by “enhancing” them with COVID-19 and sending them around the world. During the early stage of the outbreak, the CCP banned domestic flights, but allowed international flights out of Wuhan. As of Dec 7, 2020, the number of COVID-19 cases and deaths worldwide reached 64 million and 1.5 million respectively. According to Dr. Yan Li-meng, COVID-19 is a biological weapon made by the CCP using another gene editing technology “restriction site”.
While most people apply science to save and improve lives, the CCP is using science to make super soldiers and super bugs against humanity. The CCP has no ethical boundaries because they believe in atheism. Only taking down the CCP can permanently eliminate its threat to humanity.
