Libya Warns of Oil Shutdown as Attacks Escalate

Contrary to popular opinion, it is not “demand” from the world’s population which creates the mind destroying drug trade. Rather, it is the world financial oligarchy, looking for massive profits and the destruction of the minds of the population it is determined to dominate, which organized the drug trade. The case of HSBC underscores that point. Serving as the central bank of this global apparatus, is HSBC.

|Greece Just Blew Up the Empire’s Death Star of Debt (February 11, 2015)The Greek Elites and kleptocrats are terrified of the discipline that leaving the euro will impose, but the general public should welcome the transition to an economy and society that has been freed from the shackles of Imperial debt and the kleptocracy that has bled the nation dry.Although the financial media is blathering about negotiations and gamesmanship, the truth is Greece just blew up the Empire’s Death Star of debt. There’s nothing left to negotiate except the official admission that the Imperial Death Star of debt, the most fearsome threat in the galaxy, has been blown to smithereens.|

Was the United States compelled to attack Afghanistan and Iraq by the events of September 11, 2001?
A key to answering that rather enormous question may lie in the secrets that the U.S. government is keeping about Saudi Arabia.
Some have long claimed that what looked like a crime on 9/11 was actually an act of war necessitating the response that has brought violence to an entire region and to this day has U.S. troops killing and dying in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The new Greek political party, known as Syriza, the Coalition of the Radical Left, has done the unthinkable: they’ve dared to speak the truth.
In this case, the truth is perfectly captured by the blunt assessment by the new Greek finance minister, Yanis Varoufakis, who recently declared “I’m the finance minister of a bankrupt country.”
Such honest assessments are not supposed to be uttered in politics, no matter how true they may be. And so, as you can imagine, the machinery of the defenders of the status quo is in quite a lather over the whole affair. And it’s doing everything it can to minimize and marginalize the new Greek government.

The Coolest New Year’s Eve Spectacle
Dubai, a city already known for its extravagance, upped the ante on New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Instead of just wowing the world with a spectacular fireworks show, it wrapped the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest skyscraper, with 70,000 panels of LED bulbs.
New Year’s Eve, Babylon Style
New Zealand was one of the first nations to celebrate the start of 2015. A huge firework display from the top of Auckland’s Sky Tower could be seen across the country’s biggest city.
Australia was the next country to ring in the new year, with crowds gathering around Sydney Harbour for the annual firework display.
Fireworks lit up the sky above iconic landmarks like the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
The display used more than 10,000 aerial fireworks, 25,000 shooting comets, and 100,000 pyrotechnic effects.
Local media estimated that 1.6 million people crowded along the Harbour foreshore to watch the display.
We will be updating this article as midnight strikes in more countries.

Ms. Rice’s persona as an innocent…..Bull—-
It’s still one of my favorite photos from the Bush Administration. This ran in a NYTarticle in the Music section dated April 9, 2006, and it read, as we posted at the time, like “fiddling while Iraq burns.” In light of the Senate C.I.A. torture report summary released yesterday, however, it strikes a different chord. April 2006, according to the account published in the NYT, also marked the first time the C.I.A. director briefed Bush about the torture program that had been going on for the past few years. That said, the report only hints at how much Bush, and particularly Rice and Cheney, knew about the systematic abuse but played it off.

Erdogan slams American ” impertinence ” over Kobane
Turkish leader criticizes Washington for pushing for help over Kobane when US earlier stood by amid Assad “massacres”.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan has slammed US “rudeness” over the Syrian conflict, exposing the extent of strains between Washington and Ankara just days after the Turkish president met with US Vice President Joe Biden.
Ties have soured in recent months over the reluctance of Turkish leaders to intervene militarily in the US-led campaign against the Islamic State In Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) fighters, who have taken control of large swathes of Iraq and Syria.
|They remained silent in the face of Assad’s barbarism and now they are now staging a ‘conscience show’ through Kobane.|
Erdogan accused the US of being “rude” for pressuring it to help save the ISIL-besieged Syrian town of Kobane, which is within sight of the Turkish border.
“Why is somebody coming to this region from 12,000km away?” Erdogan said during an address to a group of businessmen in Ankara, in a clear reference to the US.
“I want you to know that we are against impertinence, recklessness and endless demands,” he said.
Biden offended Erdogan last month by suggesting his policies in Syria had helped encourage the rise of the ISIL, a slight that prompted the Turkish president to warn his relationship with the US vice president could be “history”.
Washington is pressing Ankara for the use of the Incirlik air base in southern Turkey so US fighter jets can launch assaults on ISIL.
But Turkey has refused to bow to the pressure, setting several conditions for playing a greater role in the coalition.
“They looked on as the tyrant [President Bashar] al-Assad massacred 300,000 people. They remained silent in the face of Assad’s barbarism and now they are now staging a ‘conscience show’ through Kobane,” Erdogan said.
“We will resolve our problems not with the help of a ‘superior mind’ but with the help of our people.”
Biden wrapped up a three-day visit to Turkey on Sunday without a breakthrough on military co-operation over the Syrian crisis.
But Erdogan’s comments contrasted with the relatively upbeat assessment of US officials who said that the meeting with Biden had brought the two sides’ positions closer.
Earlier this week, Erdogan accused the West of coming to the region for “oil”.
“I’m always meeting with them but it does not go any further than what I say. They don’t have any sensitivities. They have only one sensitivity: oil, oil, oil…,” he said on Monday.
So far, Turkey’s sole contribution to the coalition has been allowing a contingent of Iraqi peshmerga Kurdish fighters to transit Turkish soil to fight against ISIL in Kobane.
